Range Rover Evoque (Mk2) Gearbox TCM Bench Testing Service – Communication Test Only
A fast, low-cost bench check to confirm whether your Range Rover Evoque (Mk2) transmission control module powers up and communicates — before you spend on anything else
Which Range Rover Evoque (Mk2) Models This Covers
Range Rover Evoque (Mk2) (2019–present) fitted with the ZF 9HP48 9-speed automatic. If you're unsure which gearbox your car has, call us with your reg or VIN and we'll confirm before you send anything.
What This Service Is — and Isn't
This is a communication-only bench test. We connect your Range Rover Evoque (Mk2) transmission control module on our bench rig, power it up and confirm whether it responds correctly on the vehicle's communication network (CAN bus) — in other words, whether the module itself is alive or dead. This does not test full transmission control function, and it is not a repair. It's the fastest, cheapest way to rule the module in or out before you commit to a full valve body repair, a cloning service, or buying a used replacement.
When This Service Makes Sense
- You've bought or been offered a used TCM for your Range Rover Evoque (Mk2) and want to confirm it's not dead before fitting it
- Your Range Rover Evoque (Mk2) has a no-communication / "module not responding" fault and you want to confirm whether it's the TCM or the wiring/other module at fault
- You want to rule the TCM in or out before paying for a full mechatronic valve body repair
- A garage has suggested the TCM might be faulty and you want an independent bench check first
What You Get Back
A clear pass/fail result and a short written report: either your module communicates correctly (so the fault lies elsewhere), or it doesn't respond at all (confirming the module itself has failed). If it fails the comms test, we'll advise your options — repair, cloning to a replacement, or a full valve body service where relevant.
