1. Overview
At The Vehicle Check, we aim to provide the highest quality repair and module services.
If you’re not completely satisfied with your purchase or service, we’re here to help.
This Returns & Refund Policy explains your rights and how to return items or request a refund.
2. Returning Goods
If you have received goods from us (for example, repaired or replacement automotive modules), you can return them under the following conditions:

You must contact us first before returning any goods.

Goods must be returned in their original condition and packaging, wherever possible.

You must include your order number and contact details to help us process the return quickly.

Once your return is authorised, we’ll provide instructions and, if applicable, a return label.
3. When We Cover Return Costs
We’ll pay for return shipping if:

The goods are faulty, damaged, or misdescribed;

You are ending the contract because we’ve told you of an upcoming change to the product or terms, an error in pricing or description, or a significant delay;

The return is due to something we’ve done wrong.
In all other cases (including where you change your mind), you’ll be responsible for return postage or collection costs.
4. Return Deadlines
If you are a consumer, you have the right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 to change your mind within 14 days of receiving your goods or of entering into a service contract (unless the service has been fully performed).

For goods: You must send the goods back within 14 days of telling us you wish to cancel.

For services: If work has already started, you may be required to pay for the portion of work completed before you cancelled.
Please note: once a repair or service has been completed, your right to cancel may no longer apply.
5. Refunds
Once we’ve received and inspected your returned goods, we’ll let you know whether your refund has been approved.
Approved refunds will be issued using your original payment method.
We aim to process refunds within 14 days of receiving your returned goods or your cancellation request (whichever applies).
We may make deductions if:

Goods have been handled in a way that reduces their value (beyond what’s reasonable to inspect them).

You chose an upgraded delivery method — in which case we’ll refund only the standard delivery cost.

You requested work or services to begin before the 14-day cooling-off period ended.
6. Faulty or Defective Goods
If your product develops a fault, please contact us right away.
Depending on the issue, we may offer:

A repair,

A replacement, or
-
A full refund, in line with your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
You may be entitled to:

An immediate refund if goods are faulty within 30 days;

A repair or replacement within six months;
-
A partial refund or compensation if the goods do not last a reasonable amount of time.

7. Services
For module repair, cloning, or crash data removal services, refunds may only be provided if:

The service was not carried out with reasonable care or skill; or

We are unable to complete the work as agreed.
Once work has begun, partial refunds may apply only for incomplete portions of the service.
