Symptoms We Fix

  • Van won't start / cranks but no start, immobiliser light flashing, key not recognised
  • Wipers, indicators, horn, headlights or interior lights working intermittently or not at all
  • Central locking, electric windows or mirrors dead or erratic
  • Battery draining overnight; modules staying awake
  • Dashboard warning lights and multiple "lost communication" codes (U-codes) across modules
  • Faults that appear after heavy rain or a windscreen / scuttle leak — the classic MK7 water-ingress BCM failure

What We Repair

The MK7 BCM sits low in the passenger footwell and is a common casualty of water ingress and corrosion, as well as failed relays, blown driver transistors and cracked solder joints. We fully strip the module, clean and treat corrosion, replace failed relays, drivers and damaged tracks, resolder the board, conformal-coat it against future moisture and bench-test every output. Your original module is repaired and returned, so the immobiliser pairing, keys and configuration stay exactly as they were — no dealer coding, no PATS programming.

Repair vs Replacement

A new BCM from Ford needs programming to the van and keys and typically costs £400–£700 fitted; used units carry the same corrosion risk and still need coding. Repairing your own module is a fraction of that and keeps everything paired. If you'd rather fit a used BCM, see our separate Ford BCM Cloning Service.
