⚡ Fast, Professional Mechatronic Repairs for:
🚗 Mercedes-Benz CVT 722.8 (Autotronic) Mechatronic
⚠️ Common Symptoms of 722.8 Mechatronic Failure:
❌ No gear selection / delayed engagement
🔁 Vehicle stuck in Limp Mode
⚙️ Harsh, slipping, or unstable gear changes
📉 Loss of drive after warm-up
🚫 Failure to shift properly under load
🔄 Intermittent or permanent “Transmission Visit Workshop” warning
🔍 Typical Fault Codes:
0793 – RPM Signal From Y3/9B4 (CVT Secondary RPM Sensor) Not Available
➡️ Indicates failure of the secondary speed sensor inside the mechatronic.
Occurs due to internal circuit, sensor, or board failure — not an external wiring issue.
0722 – RPM Signal From Y3/9B5 (CVT Output RPM Sensor) Not Available
➡️ Points to failure of the output speed sensor integrated in the mechatronic.
This is one of the most common 722.8 faults and will return until repaired properly.
✔ Both RPM sensor faults are internal to the mechatronic and cannot be fixed by replacing external parts or performing resets.

⚠️ Warranty Terms for This Repair
- Our 12-month warranty on this repair is conditional on a full transmission oil and filter change being carried out at the time of refitting.
- Please keep proof of this — a paid invoice from a garage or workshop — as this will be requested if you ever need to make a warranty claim.
- This is a transmission component, and correctly completing the fit requires the correct basic settings, adaptations and teach-in procedure for your specific gearbox to be carried out afterwards for it to operate correctly.
- Many owners with the right diagnostic equipment and experience fit these themselves — that's completely fine. If you're doing the oil/filter change yourself rather than at a garage, keep your own dated records (receipts for the oil/filter, and confirmation the adaptations were completed) as equivalent proof for a claim.
