2. Remove and package the CEM. The CEM is typically located in the driver's footwell or behind the glovebox depending on model. Remove it carefully, and follow our packaging tips below before posting.
3. Post it to us. Send it tracked to Office 13, 25 Mollison Avenue, Enfield, EN3 7LW. We recommend Royal Mail Special Delivery or a reputable tracked courier service.
4. We diagnose and repair. Once received, our technicians carry out a full bench diagnosis, identify the root cause, and carry out the repair — whether that's reflowing solder joints, replacing failed capacitors or MOSFETs, or addressing moisture damage.

How Should I Package My Volvo CEM for Posting?

Proper packaging protects your unit in transit and helps us receive it in the best possible condition for diagnosis. Here's how to do it right:

• Wrap the CEM in anti-static bubble wrap — at least two full layers. Avoid standard plastic bags directly against the connector pins.
• Use a rigid cardboard box that's appropriately sized. The module should not be able to move around inside.
• Pad all six sides with additional bubble wrap or crumpled paper. There should be a minimum 3–4cm of cushioning between the module and each wall of the box.
• Include a note inside with your name, phone number, vehicle registration, a brief description of the symptoms, and any fault codes you've already pulled if available.
