Why the Corsa Easytronic Stops Changing Gear
The Easytronic TCU monitors clutch actuator position at all times. If the actuator motor is weak and takes too long to reach the commanded position, the TCU records a P0810 (clutch position control error) and disables further gear changes to protect the clutch. If the motor circuit is open, P0900 is stored and the TCU cannot command any clutch movement at all.
The fault is most common on Corsa C 1.0, 1.2 and 1.4 Easytronic models from 2000 to 2006, and Corsa D 1.2 and 1.4 Easytronic models from 2007 to 2014. Higher mileage vehicles are more susceptible.
