Ford Kuga ACM No Sound Fault — Amplifier Repair Specialist | The Vehicle Check

No sound from the speakers in your Ford Kuga? The Vehicle Check specialises in Ford Kuga ACM no sound fault repair. The ACM — Audio Control Module — is the dedicated amplifier responsible for all audio output on the Ford Kuga. When it fails the result is complete silence from all speakers while the head unit, screen and controls continue to function normally. We repair the original Ford Kuga ACM amplifier at component level. No replacement unit required, no programming needed after repair. Nationwide mail-in postal service with drop off at our Enfield office.

Ford Kuga ACM No Sound — Why Does It Happen?

The Ford Kuga uses a separate ACM — Audio Control Module — as the central amplifier for the entire audio system. The ACM is a standalone module located away from the head unit and is responsible for processing all audio signals before amplifying and sending them to the speakers. The head unit itself does not amplify audio — it simply sends a signal to the ACM.

When the ACM develops an internal fault — typically through capacitor degradation, MOSFET transistor failure or solder joint fracture — audio output stops completely. The head unit and touch screen continue to display and respond normally because they are unaffected by the ACM failure. This is the clearest diagnostic indicator of ACM fault versus head unit fault on the Ford Kuga. Our full Ford ACM amplifier repair service covers all Kuga ACM variants and all other Ford models.

How to Confirm It Is the ACM and Not the Head Unit

If your Ford Kuga head unit display is working correctly — screen responsive, source selection changing, volume control moving — but no sound comes from any speaker, the ACM amplifier is almost certainly the fault. The head unit does not produce audio output directly on the Kuga. It sends a signal to the ACM which amplifies it. If the signal gets to the ACM but nothing comes out, the ACM has failed internally. Contact us with your symptoms and ACM part number before removing anything and we will confirm.
