How Does the Mail-In Repair Work?

Step 1 — Remove Your APIM

Step 2 — Pack and Post It Safely
This is where a lot of people get nervous, but it's simpler than it sounds. Disconnect the wiring harness connectors — they clip out cleanly — and note which connector goes where with a quick photo before you unplug anything. Then:
- Wrap the APIM in at least two layers of bubble wrap, covering all four sides and both faces.
- Place it in a rigid box (a shoebox or similar) with padding on every side — minimum 3–4 cm of packing material all round.
- Do not use a padded envelope. The APIM is a circuit-board assembly and needs a rigid outer shell.
- Include a note with your name, phone number, vehicle details and a brief description of the fault.
- Send via Royal Mail Tracked 48, DPD or Parcelforce — something with tracking and insurance. Keep your receipt.
