Ford Fiesta ACM No Sound Fault — Amplifier Repair Specialist | The Vehicle Check

The Ford Fiesta is one of the most common vehicles we see with ACM amplifier faults. The Fiesta MK6 and MK7 both use ACM units that develop specific failure modes over time — particularly capacitor degradation and failed audio output transistors. When the Fiesta ACM fails, all speakers go silent while the display, radio controls and steering wheel controls continue to function normally. The Vehicle Check repairs Ford Fiesta ACM units at component level and returns them fully tested.

Fiesta ACM Fault Patterns by Model

The Fiesta MK6 (2002–2008) uses an older ACM design that is particularly prone to protection relay failure and capacitor degradation on the output board. The MK7 (2008–2017) uses an updated unit that is more commonly affected by audio IC failure and power supply faults.

Both variants share the same symptom — complete audio loss while everything else works normally. The fault is sometimes intermittent at first, with audio returning after a restart, before becoming permanent.

Bench Test and Component Repair

We test every Fiesta ACM across all output channels — front left, front right, rear left, rear right — before and after repair. Our engineers identify the specific failed component and replace it with a correctly rated part. Any secondary faults found during testing are repaired as part of the same service.

We carry the correct replacement components for both MK6 and MK7 Fiesta ACM variants.
