Common Citroen BSI Fault Symptoms

BSI faults on Citroen vehicles typically present as: complete no-start with all electrics working, central locking that does not respond to the key fob, interior lights that stay on or do not work, windows that stop mid-travel, and multiple simultaneous dashboard warning lights. In some cases the dashboard is completely dark despite the battery being fully charged.

BSI faults are most commonly triggered by a battery change, a flat battery that dropped below 8V, water ingress into the BSI housing (common on the C5 and Berlingo) or age-related PCB degradation.
